Good Search Engines
Google in my opinion is the a good search engine and it seems between 70 and 80% of people think so too. Google is by no means perfect it has its flaws and vulnerabilities, but on the whole it will return what you are looking for .
Google as a Company seems to be doing great and free things for the community gmail a free email service google analytics google home page there are literally 10's of free things that google will give you. Google products they seems to understand relevant advertising works and irrelevant ads annoy
But there are things about Goole which annoy me…
I don't like how it redirects me to google.co.uk when my home page is google.com
There seems to be a belay of 9 months before a new website starts getting listed for more than the url name, termed the sandbox by some
I am slightly nervous of Google mostly because of their dominance and as I am forced to rely on them more and more I realise that if they change something it will be very difficult for me to move away or stop using their tools.
Dogpile at least in theory should be the best as it uses results from all the major search engines but in this case the sum of all the parts isn't necessarily greater than the top one.
