Fonts

The thing about websites and font you must remember is that if you use a font on your website and the person visiting your website doesn't have that font installed on their computer then they will see your website in the "default" font.

So if you use a font downloaded from www.dafont.com Fancy > Initials or somewhere then the chances are that just about everyone viewing your website will see it in times roman or Arial or something.

This is a great shame because there are so many cool fonts available. But there are ways you can use there cool fonts on your website. they can be used in images in the header for instance.

One technique is to use and image using your cool font for the initial character in a Paragraph this is called "Drop Caps" there are many ways to achieve this using css.

If your are going to use images on your website be sure to set the Alt attribute with an appropriate text, the rule of thumb I use is to try and imagine when a vision impaired person visits your site and they have their browser reading the text to them - you need to describe the images for them and that is what the alt attribute is there to do.
